With "Topia Island", online games developer Bytro Labs has released its third and most ambitious browser game to date. With a challenging story and many initial features, the game promises to keep players entertained. By using HTML5, the company was able to secure a place among the pioneers of this innovative technology. "Topia Island" is available at http://www.topiaisland.com.
The game centers around a serene island named Topia, where a peaceful group of people are trying to build a society far away from the evil Empire. Building houses and schools, as well as establishing an economy with farming and manufacturing, are the first steps towards independence. But the shadow of the Empire is long and soon the people of Topia may have to rise against oppression.
With this game, Bytro Labs is exploring new ground by addressing the group of casual gamers and by adding more social aspects to their games. In the next step of development, players will be able to visit their friends and help them out by working on their island or joining them in the fight against the Empire.
Using HTML 5 for "Topia Island" has secured Bytro Labs a place among the pioneers of this innovative technology. "We are especially pleased with the great performance of HTML 5 and the very good cross-browser support", says Felix Faber, Managing Director of Bytro Labs. "Plugins are a thing of the past."
To celebrate the release of the game, Bytro Labs is giving away 10 Topies, the games' special in-game currency, to everyone who registers an account within the upcoming week.
