During Feb 17-19, Katsucon was kicking off its 18th convention and its third year at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The Gaylord is a good home for Katsucon. It's big enough to house the moderate attendance while also offering something unique outside of the convention center: it's a huge artsy area. This year Katsucon is hosting the U.S. preliminary round of the World Cosplay Summit. The winners on Saturday will get a free trip to Japan to represent the U.S. at the finals this summer.
