December 20, 2011. Today InnoGames started the Exclusive Preview for its upcoming strategy browser game Forge of Empires. 500 players will be able to get a sneak peek at the game in its current pre-beta state and can provide the developers with helpful feedback. The first invitations for pre-registered accounts have already been sent out; more will follow during the next few days. InnoGames will also give out keys via its Facebook page.
The German Developer also released further information about the game's different eras. Starting in the Stone Age, the player's village will undergo several transformations and eventually turn into an impressive metropolis. Through research, new building types can be unlocked, each of which is visually representative of a distinct age: The Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age and the Early, High and Late Middle Ages will be available for the beta phase, further Ages up to present times and even the distant future are already planned. By collecting blueprints, players also get access to legendary great buildings from the ages, such as the Coliseum in the Iron Age or Notre Dame in the High Middle Age.
Forge of Empires is a browser-based strategy game that allows players to create a city and develop it from the Stone Age and onward throughout the centuries. Players can enlarge their sphere of influence and create a vast empire through military campaigns and skilful dealings.
