Recently Mozilla announced the introduction of the Gamepad API (application programming interface). Once the technology come out, we won't have to play web-based games with the keyboard and mouse anymore. The Gamepad can help game developers enable access from winthin Firefox. We can not only make gamepads available to consoles and desktip computer games, but also support web-based games. Developers will create browser games that support the use of USB or Blutooth connected gamepads on the computer. With Gamepad API technology, web-based game will be more interesting. Some web-based fighting or sports game can be controled with gamepad which must be more fun than played on keyboard or mouse. "With web technologies improving everyday, the future of gaming could lie in the web browser. After all, the cross-platform support is a pretty big incentive for developers since they can code a game once and it will play the same on any operating system."
