Not long ago, we learned that German online browser company Gameforge is considering shutting down development of Star Trek: Infinite Space if it cannot find a co-publisher. If you are a fan of this game, then you don't need to be worried now. Since in an interview on November, 22, Heiko Hubertz (CEO and founder of Bigpoint) and Matthias Mirlach (Lead Public Relations) expressed their interest in the takeover of Star Trek: Infinite Space.

We all know that Bigpoint is Germany's biggest browser-game publisher, and it seems they have a particular fancy for franchises of time-honored movies and TV series. Battlestar Galactica Online is another game they adapted from famous TV series. So it's believed that they can make Star Trek: Infinite Space a successful game as Battlestar Galactica Online.
According to Heiko Hubertz, Gameforge has not yet hammered out the scheme and blueprint under which the game runs. Also GameForge refused to comment on the deal Bigpoint disclosed. Hope we can see another brilliant game soon.
