Game publisher Bigpoint has just released a new update for its free-to-play MMO, Battlestar Galactica Online. This update introduces a new team Arena mode, new Missions for both factions, and several other fixes and improvements.

The main update is a new arena mode called 3V3 Mixed. This new arena mode challenges players in teams of 3 to take on one another in PvP combat. The teams will be made up of 1 Strike, 1 Escort and 1 Line ship, as the name "mixed" implies.

Each match in the 3v3 Mixed Arena will last 15 minutes. If neither team has defeated the opposing Line ship or captured the beacon by the end of the match, the team that has inflicted the most damage on the opposing team's Line ship is the winner.
