Square Enix has just a while ago revealed a MMO version of its Championship Manager football series. Called Championship Manager: World of Football, the game will of course be free-to-play and will be accessible from any standard web browser.
Championship Manager: World of Football is currently being developed by Beautiful Game Studios in partnership with China's Shanda Games Limited, the former of which has worked on the Championship Manager franchise in the past.
The game will initially launch in China with a possible international release later down the road. A beta for the title is to be announced shortly.
About Championship Manager
Championship Manager was the very first game in the popular Championship Manager series of association football management simulation games. The game was originally released on the Amiga and Atari ST in September, 1992 and then ported to the PC/DOS platform soon after. The game was written by Paul and Oliver Collyer (the co-founders of Sports Interactive) in their bedroom.
