What is the best feature of browser-based games? The answer is various but maybe one of the answers is that these games can be played on different platforms. It means that you could play them on PCs, Macs or even Consoles if you have a browser that support the HTML (Sometimes FLASH also required).

In a recently published patent that was filed back in 2009, Sony Computer Entertainment America have patented plans to specifically customise browser games to work with the DualShock 3 and/or PlayStation Move (called here the “Wand”), rather than a normal mouse.

Interestingly, another part of the patent offers an example of how these specially made browser based games would be found through the PS3 (or even PSP): A store or search function that would include games from Sony:

Whether Sony had planned to import browser-based games to PS3 or not, the truth is that nowadays the browser on PS3 is not work well with all the games. Anyway, it's not a bad idea to play free games on your console while you are taking a rest from the big console titles. Isn't it?
