Quietly, Microsoft launched a free casual browser game "Neosaurs", which kicked off its beta on December 9th, with Camelot Media Investments.
According to the words from a spokesperson's reply to ZDnet,
"Neosaurs is a new game under development at Microsoft Game Studios in partnership with Camelot Media Investments (CMI), a global leader in the casual MMO space. The game is actively under development and currently in beta. We will have more to announce soon."

Neosaurs is a new massively multiplayer RPG (MMORPG) adventure that you can play, right here in your browser for free! No downloads, no wait times. You can start playing right away with your existing Facebook or Windows Live account.
Deep below Earth's surface, Inner Earth is in trouble and needs your help! Raise your very own Neosaur to be protector for the forces of good. Play with your friends and explore the extensive lore and endless adventure in the magical land beneath. You can evolve your Neosaur into a ferocious Rex, strong Cera, or agile Ptera.
By now, Neosaurs is the first browser based game from Microsoft, which shows the Microsoft's growing interest in the casual gaming space. Judging from the website, the Neosaurs have been completed almost. But it's interesting that why there was no news about this open beta before.
