Game Nation: World 1st Game Theme Park to be Built

If you've ever thought that video games were limited by the screens they occupy, then this might be right up your alley. In fact, the announcement of the first ever "experiential video game theme park & resort", called GameNation, has all gamers perking up their ears. Why? Well, according to the GameNation website:

"Game Nation™ is the world's first Experiential Video Game Theme Park and Resort. Visitors will become players as thier dreams and fantasies come to life in adventures yet to be told. You will become anything you like and live out the character you create. But this is no game. It's real!"

The real question that everyone seems to be asking about GameNation is "How?". And rightfully so. The company seems to be making some big promises, essentially the promise of total real world immersion in a video game environment. In an interview with GamePolitics, park creator Daniel Ruke very directly stated, "You are gonna see headshots."

Of course the park is going to have to enforce some ESRB type restrictions to keep content appropriate to age. Safety will also likely be a major concern, especially given the very physical nature of the tasks that many video game characters perform.
