The official press release is as below:
So as some of you noticed, there have been two new settings added to the game in the past few days, so let me take some time to explain them both.
The first setting that was added was the Recruit Player link is back, its an old feature that we had in the game, but due to a technical issue we had to remove it. Everything is working again, so its been re-enabled. As you can read on the Recruit Player tab, it is 3 days of free premium for every player you recruit who reaches the point value that is set for that world. Each world either has a 1000 or a 1500 minimum, depending on the worlds settings and speed.
When you recruit a player, you just have to give them the link posted in that area and they sign up for the game using that specific link. If a player accidentally signs up via the www.tribalwars.net page without the link, we will not compensate the 3 premium days. Make sure you paste them the correct link from your account, which can be found on the Recruit Players tab. As it states on that page, it is also forbidden to recruit any player that shares a connection with you. If someone you share a connection with wants to play they have to join without using your personal recruit player link to register a new account with the game.
The second setting that was brought back was the Point Ratio setting. The point ratio setting is set for the first 60 days, after a player joins the world, at a 1:20 ratio. What this means, is that for the first 60 days, anyone that is over 20x your points can not attack you and you can not attack them. This setting was used in the past, when some of the earlier worlds were opened, the reason we are bringing it back is because we have worlds that have been open for 6 months with a rim that is still far from the edge. It is nice having 10 worlds open at all times so that players can decide what type of world they want to play, and compare them all. The downside is the players on the rim have much more to defend against in a 6 month old world compared to what you have to defend against if the world is a few weeks old. Giving players 60 days protection against anyone from the core who is 20x their points so that they can build up and play the world is needed to fill these worlds up with actual people and not just a rim full of barbarian villages.

Before the ominous posts of "stop opening new worlds" pop up, I'll explain why we have to open so many. We open worlds in pairs of two, so for example when 32 and 33 opened, it was because 29/30/31 were extremely full and there were always different problems every other day with those worlds. Problems ranging from lag to tables that hold information, such as reports, breaking. World 32 filled up relatively quickly to its max of 65k players and then world 33 did the same world 75k players. So instead of letting both worlds overload with players and cause major lag issues for every player who used the worlds, we had to open worlds 34 and 35 as a place for the new players to join.
With all this said, I did set this option on worlds 32 and 33 as they were 1 week away from the '60 day point' according to our admin logs, and we realized they didn't open until Late January, so the setting on 32-35 is not active. The setting will be added to every new world after its been open for 60 days, so in the case of world 32 its March 22nd, and for world 33 its March 27th. Most of the other versions, like the German version, use this setting from the very start of the world for every single world they have open, but so that we do not affect the core on Tribalwars.net we will give every worlds core/rim 60 days of normal growth before enabling it.
I realize not everyone will be satisfied or will claim we are stealing their farms, but this is to grow the rim of your world so you can have more farms or more competition in the future. If you really want a particular village that you can't touch now, the demolish feature is very handy, and probably useful in this situation
