An award winning studio sodigital will soon launch a beta-version of its latest game - Gilfor's Tales. It will attract players with an interesting plot, photo-realism of interactive three-dimensional characters and a fantasy world rich in magic and details.
Gilfor's Tales is an RPG browser game. Sodigital is a leader in flash game development that follows a philosophy of utilizing existing technology in creative new ways. This philosophy is also visible in Gilfor's Tales. "We spared no effort to make players impressed in a fresh way – tells Tomek Wisniowski, Gilfor's Tales main game designer – There is a number of browser games available on the internet, so it was a great challenge for us to create a brand-new quality of virtual world." It is possible to impress players thanks to a masterful combination of 2D graphics (creating a near photo-realistic environment) with three-dimensional characters rendered in real time. The entire game is presented through sodigital's own 3D Flash engine.
The Gilfor's Tales' plot is created by Lukasz Orbitowski (www.orbitowski.pl), one of the leading thriller, horror, and fantasy writers in Poland. The unique gaming experience is set in a world of fantasy. The player creates a team and explores the magical world, experiencing surprizing and amazing adventures. The Gilfor's world is inhabited by beasts, monsters, and demons who lie in wait for the adventurers' team at each twist and turn
of the versatile plot. Various types of weapons, armor, and jewelry protect the team from danger.
Simultaneously with Gilfor's Tales beta, sodigital is launching a social community website for players. "It is a false stereotype that computer games determine people' alienation – says Tomek Wisniowski, a game designer at sodigital – Inspiring players to social networking, emotions, and competition in a group setting were also important challenges throughout the creative process".
The beta version offers 25 quests and 4 characters of choice. Sodigital plans for over 100 quests and 7 characters in the full version. The multiplayer mode is available starting with the beta version.
Gilfor's Tales' full version release is planned for spring 2009.
