Info about PvP Improvement

The official website of Gladius2 updated the details about PVP improvement.

Hail Gladiators, Imperial Warriors,

After improving the ranking formula, it's time to enter the next phase for even more exciting PvP duels: We are adapting the awarding of victory points to the PvP battle.

The leagues will continue to have their level range; however, you'll receive different "basic" victory points for PvP, for NPCs and for crates. In principal it will stay the same, but with modified values.

Here's an overview:

League | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 |
-----------------------------------------------------------
Crates | 0.1 | 0.1 | 0.1 | - | - | - |
-----------------------------------------------------------
PvE (max.) | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.2 | 1 | 1 |
-----------------------------------------------------------
PvP (max.) | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3.2 | 3.5 | 3.5 |

The level range in the leagues will remain the same.

In addition, you can also receive up to 5% of the current victory points collected by the opponent if you destroy him, and lose up to 10% of the current victory points collected if you yourself are destroyed. The maximum amount is based on the level range. With an opponent who is a level lower than you, you'll only get the basic victory points.

This means that you need victory points for the next level up and you can receive these victory points through NPCs, crates and PvP.

An example:
A user currently has 200 VPs and is killed. He loses 10% (20 VPs) and the opponent receives half of these VPs in addition to the basic VPs - in other words 10 VPs (5% of the total sum) + 3.5 basic VPs = 13.5 VPs.

It looks like this when broken down:
Winner: current opponent – VP / 100 * 5
Loser: current user – VP / 100 * 10

Important: You can only lose the collected VPs for the next level up, but you'll never lose the level which you have reached already or more VPs than you have collected since the last level up.

We are optimizing the battle calculations even further for you; here are the next steps which are planned:

  • Within the current updates, a system to control the VP inflation might be added.

  • We are working on new items for everybody at the moment.

  • In addition to the leagues which already exist, we also want to introduce two new ones. The 1st league which currently exists would then become the 1st bronze league which would run parallel to the 1st silver league and the 1st gold league (both in planning). These leagues will also receive new NPCs (existing gladiators, skeletons, maybe even a dragon). In the course of this introduction, we would also adapt the requirements for the level entry of all leagues and probably modify this slightly.

  • In PvP we will also receive very rare gems (coupled items) in the future. These are then – depending on the type – combinable with weapons or armor and open up, for example, a level over 250. Or they will give armor a special strength over a certain period of time.

  • We are currently planning 33 new missions. Completing certain missions might possibly be connected to accessing one of the upper leagues.

So that's our planned package for the PvP update so far. Changes in the and due to the implementation process can still occur. Do you have any suggestions, feedback or ideas to our planned updates? Then send them our way – we look forward to all feedback.

We hope you continue to have fun and wish you lots of success!
